How Participants Fit into the Study

Study participants play a critical role in implementing Mothers and Babies and the study.

Interested parties and partners will contribute to and participate in all aspects of the study, not only to implement the intervention, but to understand the critical factors that impact both implementation and mental health outcomes. Home visitors will deliver Mothers and Babies; supervisors will provide support to home visitors in their implementation of Mothers and Babies; and home visiting clients will help us understand if and how Mothers and Babies is working for them.

All study participants (mothers, home visitors, and supervisors) will provide key insight into the context and implementation of the program (e.g., through interviews, surveys, focus group discussions, etc.). These data aim to support real-time implementation strategies and adaptations, as well as improve perinatal outcomes and positively impact community health.
